The Colour Flooring Company was set up by Bill and Lena, two former design journalists.

We both had the same problem when it came to sourcing flooring for our kitchen and bathroom.

We wanted simple contemporary block-colour flooring. We scoured the high street and the internet but all we could find was a huge range of vinyl flooring in fleck designs, imitation stone, fake woods and many other terrifying ‘styles’ in between. And the alternatives: rubber flooring, Marmoleum and lino were prohibitively expensive to buy and fit.

We wondered why there is so much vinyl flooring around, but why so much of it is dated, ugly and over-fussy. Why it’s so hard to find a range of simple contemporary colours – red flooring, blue flooring or white vinyl flooring, for example. So we decided to source the vinyl flooring we wanted ourselves. As you can see, this isn’t your average flooring website. There is no irrelevant blurb, no endless, confusing ranges and no attempts to sell you anything you don’t need.
