WHY WE LIKE IT
Exceptional build quality - Made to exacting standards in our cutting-edge European factory
Sustainable - All our wood is harvested from environmentally responsible forestries
Modern finish - Our gorgeous grey plank is coated with four layers of deep-penetrating, water-repellant UV oil to give a warm matt texture
The natural wash of colour on our Peyton planks makes this the only grey engineered wood flooring in our palette. This mid-grey pigment is subtle enough to allow the beauty of every line, grain pattern, and unique knot of the wood beneath to show through. It has warm undertones too, which make a gorgeous finish when paired with cooler colours such as Farrow & Ball's Wevet or warmer tones such as Little Greene's Hammock. This is fast becoming one of our most popular choices for a wooden flooring living room. An engineered oak plank for the 21st century. Close
Outstanding stability - Our carefully dried sawn oak is backed by layers of birch with cork compensators. Suitable for use with underfloor heating
Matching extras - We sell a full range of accessories including colour-matched profiles and repair kits
All our manufacturer’s products carry the Forest Stewardship Council (FCS) certificate which means they originate from forestries committed to environmentally and socially responsible logging.
All our timber is harvested using clean felling practices which don’t lead to any reduction in oak forests and our manufacturers work closely with local groups to ensure sustainability at every stage of the process.
100 percent of the wood waste generated in the manufacturing is recycled, sawdust and wood chips are either burned for heating kiln dryers or pressed into briquettes for home heating.
We’re also careful to ensure there are no harmful emissions created in the manufacturing process. Our thorough testing shows that emissions of volatile substances from our engineered flooring similar are to those of natural wood.
Our engineered wooden flooring is simple to lay and uses a traditional tongue and groove installation system. All you need is a clean, level surface. You can either glue it to the subfloor or leave it ‘floating’ so it’s just held in position by the weight of the floor itself.
This flooring works well with underfloor heating and if you are looking for an experienced fitter, we can help – just email us your postcode.
With its high-resistance, antibacterial protective surface treatment, our wooden flooring is easy to clean and maintain. Just a quick Hoover and mop with our detergent is all it needs for day to day cleaning.
If cared for correctly your flooring will never need to be fully sanded and refinished, it will just need reoiling every few years, depending on the level of traffic. This simple DIY process involves applying the renewer oil directly over the old finish.
And if you ever get a scratch, we have colour matched wax fillers available to restore your floor’s original finish.
